Well I am on the home stretch. I am still getting my workouts in, not that its helping the weight gain... definitely not helping the weight gain. I am still strong and know that it'll help with the getting back into shape part.
I was working out this morning with a bunch of awesome fattening ladies. We are all pregnant within a few months of each other. Our workouts have disintegrated from hardcore high intensity workouts to hardcore chat about who's peeing their pants, who's spraying perfume where (don't ask), and to why for some strange reason I am so massively huge compared to my sister who is further along than me.
I am now suffering from all the really sexy pregnancy symptoms... Do I dare name a few?? I'm having a spider vein family reunion down my left leg, swelling in unmentionable areas, I feel the urge to pee my pants ALL the time. I can't breath. My stomach is straight out of Alien.. It's going to pop its head out of my belly and start screaming at you!!! I have some facial rash that is a first for me this third time around. The worst I must say though is the BRAXTON HICKS contractions. They are all the bloody time and drive me insane!!! Stop pretending body and follow through for crying out loud....
The bonus to all of this though is that pushups are easier.... I don't have very far down to go with the belly in the way. I don't need hand weights for lunges because it's now built in. Walking is the same cardio intensity as running once was and there is no plateauing... it's a steady downhill fall out of fitness..... AND IT'S ACTUALLY OK!!!
A few more weeks and the story will be different... I can only imagine how crazy ridiculous us ladies will all be on the race back to being fit.

24 Weeks :(
Well I am at that point where I am completely uncomfortbale but still so far away from being done. I have packed on enough weight that my poor calves ache running stairs, running is now limited to the treadmill, and the group of us girls have resorted to working out in a stairwell to avoid the strange looks :)
I have found myself a PHAT Pregnant Women group to train with... Train... Seems a bit ridiculous to call it that. We waddle and grunt and laugh at our own ridiculousness. I can say I love that I have such a great group of women that enjoy this whole process as much as I do. My sister and I have upped the anti to keep life interesting. We completed an elliptical challenge recently that involved a highest calorie in 35 minute burn requirement. I annihalated her by a vast gap of 3 whopping calories. Hey at this point I'll take anything I can get. It was such stupid fun that we are thinking on our next challenge. We are thinking rowing machine next... and then that hand pedal thing you see on the biggest loser is next. Any other ideas? If anyone can tell me where a ladder climb machine is I would love to climb her ass off!!
Since I am now laying off the hardcore bootcamps I have been doing I decided to try a "Step-Pump" class last weekend................................................ I will NEVER do that again. I thought I was going to trip over the step and face plant in front of the entire class (FYI, that is where my sister was nice enough to place my step for me) We were so hardcore when the class started, touching the bench on the Charleston kicks, well 45 minutes later our kicks looked like apes doing a ritualistic dance or something. All hunched over, red-faced, and groaning randomly. I am sticking to my stairwell I tell ya.
I am curioius to see what the next 5 weeks will bring. We are slowing fast but having as much fun as we can doing it. Sleep seems to be a challenge as JJ (Justin Junior) likes to play soccer at ohhh, 11:00-12:00 at night. Not to mention the occasional braxton hicks contractions that seem to be not so occasional. I am getting a map of god knows what country developing on one leg, or spider veins... Whatever you want to call it. I just tell people I didn't want my sister to be sad so I got fake ones tatooed on my leg. I am so stuffed up that I have been doing the classic wake yourself up with a snorting snore thing. And sitting up out of bed brings an uncontrollable grunt. It's funny. When I do a situp my stomach gets all coney looking. No crazy brown lines on my belly yet but my belly button is almost ready to ring in well done and pop. Ask my sister all about her urinary issues... I laughed so hard I cried... Makes you wonder where you can get the book that "REALLY" tells you what symptoms to expect in pregnancy.
I will be more diligent in sharing now that there are more things to share.
